PSAT for ALL 10th/11th Graders on October 14th, 2015

Good evening parents and families. On Wednesday, October 14th, all 10th and 11th graders will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT, a test of the skills and knowledge essential for college and career.
The PSAT/NMSQT is an important step in your child’s educational journey. The test offers students the opportunity to connect with colleges and universities, enter scholarship competitions, get ready for the new SAT® and college, sharpen their skills with free practice on Khan Academy®, and learn what AP® classes might make the most of their strengths. It’s a wonderful chance for our sophomores and juniors to be recognized and rewarded for the skills and knowledge they’ve earned.
The test will take approximately 3 ½ hours, and your student will need a scientific or graphing calculator for the test. Please note that students may not use their cell phone or smart device at any time during testing. The calculator needs to be separate from their phone. Please be sure to discuss this test with your student. We’re excited to be giving this opportunity to our students this year.
